APPLIANCES

  • Stafford offers both standard and multiple upgraded high-efficiency, Energy-Star rated appliance packages.

WINDOWS

  • Stafford offers double glazed, Energy Star rated Low-E and argon gas windows, with thermal edge spacers. This ensures the climate is stable in your home. Low-E or Low Emissivity Coating is a unique microscopic glaze that helps minimize the amount of ultraviolet (UV), infrared and visible light from penetrating the glass – keeping you cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Regular thermopane windows have simple air between the two panes. However, argon gas in the manufacture of windows is a much better thermal insulator. This combination greatly reduces thermal bridging and heat/cool loss in your home.

PLUMBING

  • Stafford offers low flow standard fixtures as well as a variety of upgraded, low flow fixtures.
  • Stafford offers high efficiency, WaterSense toilets at 4.8Lpf or less, saving as much as 2Lpf over most other toilets. The WaterSense label is used on toilets that are independently certified to meet rigorous criteria for both performance and efficiency.
  • Stafford offers a standard Drain Water Heat Recovery unit (DWHR). These units use a series of copper coils wrapped around the main drain stack, to transfer heat from dispelled hot water to incoming cold municipal water. This helps pre-heat the incoming water to alleviate stress and demand on the furnace and hot water tank (or tankless heater).

HVAC

  • Stafford offers a standard programmable thermostat, which allows homeowners to keep their HVAC system optimized for comfort as well as saving on utility bills.

LIGHTING

  • Stafford offers LED pot lights and LED under cabinet lighting as an upgrade.
  • Stafford offers a motion detected exterior coach lamp at the rear patio slider and at the detached garage man-door, where applicable.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Stafford builds with pre-engineered wall and floor panel systems. This helps to save as much as 20% of the lumber typically used to frame your home.
  • Stafford uses masonry products sourced from local quarries/contractors, which greatly reduces the amount of Green House Gases emitted during the transportation process.
